Sheinbaum responde a “lenguaje soez” de Trump sobre sus amenazas a México en 2019

La futura presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, respondió este sábado a unas confusas declaraciones de Donald Trump, candidato del partido republicano para las elecciones presidenciales de noviembre en Estados Unidos, quien contó cómo amenazó con imponer aranceles a México en 2019.

Además de Sheinbaum, el futuro titular de la Secretaría de Economía, Marcelo Ebrard, de quien Trump (2017-21) hizo referencia sin mencionarlo, también reaccionó al sentirse agredido por el expresidente de Estados Unidos.

“Lamento el lenguaje soez del expresidente Trump y desde luego discrepo de su opinión sobre Marcelo Ebrard. Para mí es uno de los mejores servidores públicos de México y será un gran secretario de Economía de nuestro país, que nadie debe olvidar, es libre y soberano”, apuntó Sheinbaum en un mensaje en redes sociales.

En un mitin en Grand Rapids, Michigan, Trump recordó cuando amenazó al Gobierno mexicano, en 2019, con imponer aranceles a las mercancías de importación hasta que se resolviera el problema de la migración, y según él, en aquel momento obtuvo “todo de México”, entre ello que México cuidara la frontera de la llegada de migrantes.

“Hicimos algo muy duro a México cuando estábamos construyendo el muro (...) Les dijimos nos tienen que dar 28,000 soldados para protegernos mientras hacemos el muro”, contó Trump.

Dijo que primero se rieron de él y ante ello amenazó con imponer aranceles a mercancías que llegarán desde México a Estados Unidos.

“El caballero que representa al presidente (López Obrador, en aquel momento Marcelo Ebrard, como canciller) dijo: ‘me gustaría discutir esto con el presidente’ y le respondí, dijo Trump: ‘tiene cinco minutos porque tengo que irme, tengo algo mucho más importante que hacer’”, relató.

Trump hablaba de la negociación que tuvo con Ebrard sobre el muro fronterizo sin mencionarlo y dijo que el excanciller mexicano regresó con la respuesta: “Señor presidente, nos encantaría darle soldados para proteger su muro, gratis, por supuesto”.

Y señaló que así fue como logró limitar la migración ilegal hacia Estados Unidos. “Nos dieron todo. Obtuve todo de México”.

Luego Trump abandonó la moderación en el mitin donde calificó a Biden de “débil”, “enfermo” y hasta “estúpido”, asegurando que “nunca hablaría así de un presidente” y justificándolo en que este ha “convertido la Justicia en un arma” contra él.

“Entonces esta persona estúpida, una persona con un IQ bajo, te garantizo que es el IQ más bajo, de 50 o 60, y está negociando contra Putin, el presidente Xi, de China, y Macron, de Francia (...)“, en referencia a Biden.

Pero al sentir que la agresión de Trump era en su contra, por mezclar sus declaraciones, Ebrard respondió con un mensaje en redes sociales.

“Cuando te insultan en campaña, como acaba de hacerlo el expresidente Trump, siempre hay un propósito electoral: ganar adeptos. Nunca aceptaré calificación de un candidato en el exterior. No me intimida. Defenderé los intereses de México con toda dignidad y firmeza”, indicó Ebrard.

Este sábado, Ebrard, quien formará parte del Gobierno de Sheinbaum (2024-2030), que arranca el 1 de octubre, expresó en un acto en San Luis Potosí, centro del país, que México negociara “lo que haya que negociar y promover” y lo hará “desde una posición de fuerza, de fortaleza, no de debilidad, México va a traer inversiones con un Gobierno sólido”.
