Fuerte ola de calor le espera este fin de semana a California

El verano ha llegado y con ello el calor que a muchos les gusta y que otros odian, pero que en cualquiera de los casos puede resultar perjudicial para la salud, dependiendo la intensidad del mismo.
Tal es el caso de Estados Unidos, en donde este fin de semana presenciarán temperaturas extremadamente altas, de 49 grados celsius o más, según información del Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (NWS por sus siglas en inglés).

Lo anterior sobre todo en Death Valley, California, en donde se espera se llegue a un máximo de 52 °C. Mientras en Phoenix, Arizona, se pronostica un máximo de 47 para el domingo, y Las Vegas, Nevada, un máximo de 45°C el fin de semana, de acuerdo con información de CNN.

Como recordaremos, un día como hoy pero de 1993 la temperatura más alta registrada en la Tierra fue de 56 °C en Death Valley, California.

Por su parte, el NWS de Los Ángeles señaló que “las advertencias de calor están vigentes para muchas áreas del interior donde es probable que ocurra un riesgo de calor moderado a alto”.
