El príncipe Harry reaparició en público por primera vez desde crisis real

LONDRES.- El príncipe Harry realizó hoy su primera presentación en público desde que su abuela, la Reina Isabel II, accediera a los deseos de su nieto y su esposa, Meghan Markle, de alejarse de los roles reales y buscar un futuro más independiente.

En su primer compromiso desde que la crisis salió a la luz, Harry será anfitrión del sorteo de la Copa Mundial de Rugby 2021 en el Palacio de Buckingham.

A su vez, el príncipe Harry emitió dos declaraciones por video sobre dos causas que promueve desde hace tiempo: la salud mental y los Juegos Invictus.

Introducing the Rugby League World Cup 2021 Mental Fitness Charter - a new initiative created by the RFL that will champion the importance of good mental fitness and create sustainable legacy the sport can be proud of. The Duke was announced Patron of the Rugby Football League in December 2016, after it was given to him by Her Majesty The Queen. He is proud to support the Rugby League and the steps made to improve the sport! The initiative announcement comes ahead of today's live RLWC2021 World cup draw with The Duke of Sussex, alongside representatives of all 21 nations involved, in Buckingham Palace. By "the final whistle of the final game" of @RLWC2021, the charter commits to: . - Train every player, team official, match official, teammate and volunteer to look after their own mental fitness and the mental fitness of those around them. - Support tournament players to take their experiences home and develop mental fitness awareness within their own Rugby League communities. - Deliver mental fitness workshops to 8,000 young Rugby League players, and their parents. - Train grass roots coaches to continue delivering mental fitness workshops and leave a sustainable tournament legacy. This comes at a vital time for both the sport and mental health awareness, with suicide being the most common cause of death for men aged 20-49 here in UK. Given that 93% of the 42,000 Rugby league players and 70% of spectators are male, the mental fitness charter is of huge importance to help educate both players and audiences of the benefits of looking after one's mental wellness. El anuncio seguido de crisis real

La semana pasada, Harry, de 35 años, y la actriz Meghan Markle, de 38, causaron una crisis en la monarquía británica al anunciar que querían reducir sus deberes reales y pasar más tiempo en América del Norte, a la vez que buscarían volverse independientes en términos financieros.

El anuncio público sorprendió al resto de la familia real y dejó a la reina y a otros Windsor dolidos y decepcionados, según fuentes reales. Un amigo de la pareja dijo que sentían que habían sido alejados.

Luego de una cumbre familiar el lunes en la finca de Sandringham a la que asistieron Isabel II, Harry, su hermano mayor, el príncipe William, y su padre y heredero al trono, el príncipe Carlos, se acordó que la pareja dividiría su tiempo entre Reino Unido y Canadá.

"Aunque hubiéramos preferido que ellos siguieran siendo miembros en funciones a tiempo completo de la familia real, respetamos y entendemos sus deseos de vivir una vida más independiente a la vez que seguirán siendo una parte valiosa de mi familia", dijo la reina Isabel II, de 93 años, en un comunicado.

La pareja ha dicho que quiere un nuevo rol "progresista" y la capacidad de financiarse a sí mismos. Actualmente, no tienen permitido buscar ingresos privados y la mayor parte de su dinero viene del patrimonio privado del padre de Harry.
