Oct.17 -- Spain has cut its projected economic growth for 2017 amid uncertainty over the Catalan succession story. It has reduced its forecast to 2.3 from 2.6. Mariano Rajoy has given Catalonia until Thursday morning to back down on its independence claim. This comes as the region's police chief was ordered to surrender his passport over evidence of sedition. Bloomberg's Maria Tadeo reports on "Bloomberg Markets: European Open."
